One of the lovely things about the North Coast of California beaches is having the ocean on one side of you and the forest on the other!

As our second year in Humboldt County begins, I am realizing just why they call is Faugust instead of August. The days start out foggy....clear off between 10 and Noon and then the fog creeps back in between 3 and 5. No worries, I am more than willing to pay this price for the cool ocean temps!!  I am lacking a bit of sun in my POD's unless I travel out of the county (where hot temps and blue skies take over :-)!
