After the Rain

301/365 After the Rain

Things always seem so fresh and clean the morning after

a rain storm

Feathers and Fauna

 Green winged Teal Duck

 Black-crowned Night Heron

 Gearhart Marsh

 Hudsonian Godwit

Allen Marsh

Fun finds on my morning walk!

This and That

 Drippy Webs

 Foggy Bay

 Fallen Leaves

Spooky Blue Herons

...and there, in the midst of all the grays and earthtones, a colorful donation to the forest left by one of the more whimsical Arcata residents (yes, hippies and flower children are alive, well and appreciated in Arcata :-)).

Stormy Weather

It was a dark and stormy Sunday....

In which I forgot to push, "publish" :-)

Fall at the Farmer's Market

"In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.  And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb  colour effects as from August to November."
-   Rose G. Kingsley, The Autumn Garden, 1905

My Baby Boy

296/365

The day was filled with
house chores and cooking
cutting  way into my photo opportunity
time....sheesh, what's up with that??

I did find the time to do
a photo shoot with our baby boy...
Although we have had our ups and
downs he has turned into one
great model. He loves direction
and having a job to do!!

The Golden Hour

295/365 Golden Hour

What an unexpected pleasure it is

when you expect clouds and fog

and the sun surprises you

and makes a guest appearance

for the most beautiful

hour of the day
