Fredericksburg - Texas

North of San Antonio and west of Austin lies our F destination of Fredericksburg,Texas.

Known for its German heritage and its surrounding wine country, Fredericksburg is a wonderful place to escape for a bit of weekend shopping or wine tasting.

Main Street is lined with "Old West" architecture. It almost takes you back to the mid 1800s when Frederickburg was founded. If only those trucks lining the street were horses, right??

But my favorite part of visiting Fredericksburg, was this beautiful garden found in the middle of town.

Gardens, architecture and wine, who could ask for more from a small Central Texas town!

C is for Carmel

#AtoZChallenge 2021 April Blogging from A to Z Challenge letter C

The first word that came to mind when I first explored Carmel-By-The Sea was "Quaint" :

One of my favorite things about wandering about downtown Carmel is admiring the Bavarian Village type, architecture. A definite synonym for "quaint" , don't you think?

Then there are the flowers. Almost any time of year, you'll find flowerpots overflowing with flowers. If you are lucky enough to visit in the Spring, blooms can be found everywhere, from the shop windows to the gas stations!

I have to say though, my most favorite thing about Carmel-By-the-Sea is how dog friendly they are. Dogs are allowed just about everywhere, including many restaurants!  We always like to bring at least one of our pups along when we visit this quaint hamlet!

Carmel is a wonderful and relaxing getaway for dog lovers who enjoy everything from walks along the beach to shopping in the quaint village atmosphere!
